What is your website saying about your
company?
Is your website giving visitors a positive
impression of your company, or is it too hard to use, confusing
and leaving visitors with a poor impression? The majority of businesses
today have a website. The harsh reality is that most of those
websites aren't as good as they could be.
Study after study shows that the Web is more
difficult to use than it has to be, and that users are not happy
with the state of corporate websites today.
Your company's website is part of the customer
experience, it's part of the identity of your company, and it
can influence what people think about your company.
Ask yourself this question: If you were a person
interested in doing business with your company, what impression
of the company do you get from the website?
If your website is hard to use, poorly designed,
confusing, or simply doesn't contain much information, chances
are it's creating a negative impression. Some studies show that
Internet users tell as many as ten people they know when they
have a bad experience on a website.
This negative word of mouth could have a direct
impact on your bottom line.
The good news is that it's usually not that
difficult to fix a website. But first you need to know if your
website is good or bad. Then you need a plan to fix what's wrong
with it.
