SmartPlan
The first stage of any web project should be
proper planning. Our SmartPlan services cover all aspects of planning
your website, from a basic audit of your existing website, to
an analysis of your competitor's websites, to a detailed Web Plan,
and more.
Web Plan
Measure twice, cut once. Before you get to work on your website
you need good ideas and a solid plan. From choosing the right
domain name and web host to the architecture and design of your
site, a plan is important. Most companies have a Business Plan,
a Marketing Plan, and perhaps a Strategic Plan. A good Web Plan
is a key part of your overall business strategy.
Website Audit
A Website Audit can suggest ways to improve your website and help
you identify opportunities to integrate the Web into your overall
marketing and communications strategy.
Industry and Competitive Analysis
Being aware of what other companies in your industry are doing
on the Web will help you make informed decisions. This analysis
is part of our Web Plan, but we also provide this service on its
own. Many companies find it valuable to have detailed research
on how their competitors are using the Web.
Customer Research
Your customers can be an excellent source of information and ideas
for your website. Knowing what they want will help you create
a web strategy that meets their needs. We can interview key customers
for you and find out what features and information they would
like to see in your website.
Advice and Strategy
We can provide an outside opinion on your web strategy, or other
ideas you have for your website. Since we get paid directly for
our time based on an hourly consulting rate, we can offer unbiased
advice. We're not trying to sell you a software product or web
hosting services. You can be sure we'll give you an honest opinion.

Ballpark Costs (any taxes are
on top of what is listed here)
We bill our work at an hourly rate of $85 per hour. Three
hours of consulting on an idea you have for your website would
cost $255. We've done Web Plan projects for large companies that
ended up around $5,000. But typically a Web Plan is around $2,000.
A full and detailed Industry and Competitive Analysis is often
about $1,500, but a brief analysis of your competitor's websites
can be as little as $500. It depends on what you need. Hopefully
these ballpark prices give you some idea of what our services
cost.
